Striper Fishing Six Mile March 2017

Loaded up the boat Wednesday morning and headed to the lake. I left the house at about 7:15 AM and picked up my buddy Jim. From our meeting place, we went to Hammond's and got a dozen Bluebacks and a dozen shiners ( in case we went after Crappie).

We put in at Charleston Park and headed up to Six Mile.  We fished there for an hour or so and caught several Black Bass and a Striper. When the bite fell off, we decided to run up to Vann's Tavern (about 6 miles or so) to see if there was any activity there.
I had never been to that area of the lake so at first we passed it up and ended up near Pelican Pete's.             We got our bearings and came back to Vann's Tavern. One other boat was trolling the area so we put in baits and trolled a little ways back towards Six Mile.

Nothing, so we packed up and went back to Six mile and trolled it one more time. While we were there we ran into another L.A.K.E guy out fishing from his kayak. We chatted a few minutes and headed back towards the ramp.

Overall it was a pretty good day of fishing.
